The Valley Report

State of the Market

Farmer Burns Removed

The farmers market activity has spiked significantly since Shep removed the wool burns two weeks ago. The burns being removed combined with dramatic wolf attack increases, it only makes sense that farmers are a hot commodity right now. Some rentals showing are even showing a 2-3x increase over the last few weeks.

Chops

The wool per chop price has also seen significant movement over the last 3 weeks. In mid September, 1 chop was worth 13-14 wool, but recent buying pressure has pushed as high as 19, a 46% increase in as little as 3 weeks.

Chops showing strength against wool makes the wolves much more likely to attack, and combined with the farmer burns being lifted, it’s no surprise we’ve seen a lot of action in the Valley over the last two weeks.

Resources

Resources have been showing strength against chops since early July. The chart below shows the value of chops decreasing against water by roughly 45% over the past 3 months. Much speculation has been happening around resources, with the team hinting at resources sinks in the near future.

Chops found support here around 17 water per chop, but if more resource sinks come in soon, we could see chops break through this support and potentially head down to the 10-11 water range.

Upcoming Changes

Town Hall

Wolf Game hosted its first Town Hall hosted September 20, which featured Gfunk and GoozEggs from the Pixel Vault team. They answered questions around current hurdles the game faces, new economy structure, the direction of the game, and more. Resource and Energy caps were hinted at, with new supply/demand based equilibrium mechanisms, as well as liquidity advantages of the new Reboot framework and more. You can read the highlights of what’s to come here:

Shep's Cookin'

Shep has been hot on Twitter recently, with a number of changes expecting to come soon including:

Peak Tournaments (info dropping next week)

Rewards for Beta Peak Players

Points are coming, and it looks like Valley participation will impact your ability to capitalize on future gameplay

C0 lands will require upkeep, potential resource sinks for future wool earnings

Put plainly, there’s a lot going on under the hood while the team works. From the economy overhaul, Peak tournaments, points implementation, increased Valley activity, resource sinks, and more, the next few months are going to be packed with updates and most likely new opportunities. Best of luck to all of you!
